Flannel flowers typically bloom from August through to March. They have a lovely soft, velvety texture. There are many Australian Native plants and flowers that are so interesting to the eye and to touch.
As Winter has finally set in, here in Sydney many plants have settled down and stopped flowering or have gone into hibernation, but there are many flowers native to Australia that bloom in these cold months.

Rumi.
